Dania Ship Management is a newly established joint venture between Nordic Tankers and V.Group, where we currently are managing 32 vessels, including maintenance, docking, compliance as well as crewing. We have an ambitious yet realistic growth strategy as Copenhagen’s Ship Manager in the specialized vessel segment.

To support our growth strategy, we aim to ensure competent colleagues in an efficient and dynamic company, where we appreciate a positive attitude and dedication. As a highly valued member of our Marine HR team has decided to retire by the end of next year, we are now looking for an ambitious person, who will be interested in learning all aspects of the crewing business in order to take over his tasks.

The world of Global Marine

You will be joining our Global Marine HR department, where we handle all aspects of recruiting and employment of seafarers, administration, training and development. We oversee the crew management function globally, ensuring stability and quality of about one thousand seafarers. You will start in a position as Marine HR Coordinator, where you will be responsible for various administrative tasks while at the same time being trained in the work of the Marine HR Manager.

  • Assisting in running our cadet program
  • Assisting with crew accounts
  • Assisting and participating in Marine HR related projects
  • Participating and assisting in implementing and anchoring our Marine HR strategy across the fleet and our offices

Your qualifications

  • Maritime background, e.g. as junior officer, is an advantage but not a prerequisite
  • Shore employment experience from a similar position within Marine HR or crewing
  • Specific knowledge of processes involving recruitment, evaluation and training of seafarers
  • Knowledge of employment law
  • Good English language skills

Your personality

People recognize you as an empathetic, mature and service-minded person, who thrives on routine administrative tasks but at the same time enjoys being part of new development projects. You understand the importance of providing good service to the organization and you are able to prioritize among many tasks in a hectic environment. As the position involves a high level of interaction with our seafarers and many other partners in the shipping industry, it is important that you possess good communication skills and are able to both listen and be assertive.

You have a can-do attitude, are a keen team player and at the same time, you are able to work independently with your own tasks.

Our offer to you
